Google Cloud announced a public preview for Gemini Robotics Embodied Reasoning 2 on Oct 27. The model is available via Model Garden on the Gemini platform. Developers can declare low-level controls as tools and stream video, audio or text into the model. Google reports moment finding at 91.3 percent accuracy with 0.96 second mean absolute frame distance. The preview is not general availability and no price is listed.1
Google TPUs on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Google and Oracle announced TPUs on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure on Oct 27. The post says OCI is the first hyperscaler outside Google to offer TPUs. Capacity is planned for calendar year 2027. The announcement is about placement, not a 2026 install.2
OpenAI Oracle apps in ChatGPT
OpenAI announced an expanded partnership with Oracle on Oct 27. Oracle customers in the U.S. can purchase OpenAI API, Codex and ChatGPT Work through Oracle Marketplace on existing procurement. Oracle AI Workspace is still in development. Oracle AI Security Mesh, SMB Bundle and App Composer are announced but not generally available.3
Anthropic drug development case studies
Anthropic published early progress on accelerating drug development with Claude on Oct 27. Six partners are named: Generate Biomedicines, Divergence Labs, BigHat Biosciences, Enveda, The Column Group and Bristol Myers Squibb. Work is mostly preclinical. Anthropic notes a candidate could start clinical trials as soon as late 2028 if candidates hold up.4
