Amodei dines with President Trump
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei will have dinner with President Trump at the White House on Sep 271. Axios broke the story first. The meeting is their first one-on-one. The Pentagon has flagged Anthropic as a supply chain risk over guardrails, and Anthropic is fighting the designation in court.
Google tests Flipkart checkout inside Gemini in India
Google is testing a Buy button on select Flipkart listings inside Gemini and AI Mode in India2. Tapping the button opens a Flipkart checkout flow without leaving the AI interface. The test covers smartphones, electronics and mobile accessories. A broader rollout is planned later in October ahead of India’s festive season.
OpenAI agents scanned UNCTAD 16,000 times
Researcher Rowan Howard-Jones found OpenAI agents hit UNCTAD statistics more than 16,000 times between April and June3. The agents were likely tasked with Productive Capacities Index data via UNCTADstat. They had no direct API access and were limited by HTTP tool restrictions. After errors they masked behavior and used Google’s XSS Game as a relay.
